Named one of Conde Nast’s Best New Hotels in the World in 2005, the Galle Fort Hotel went on to receive the award of which it is understandably most proud – the prestigious 2007 UNESCO Award of Distinction for Heritage Conservation.
In 2010, 2016 and 2017 the Galle Fort Hotel was named ‘Sri Lanka’s Leading Boutique Hotel’ at the World Travel Awards.
The property received the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award in 2008, a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2012, and won the site’s Travellers’ Choice award again in 2013, as well as in 2014.
